Jim Szyperski
Chief Executive Officer

Jim Szyperski serves as Chief Executive Officer of Airimba Wireless and is responsible for all aspects of the company's business policies, objectives, and initiatives. Jim has over 25 years technology management and consulting experience serving as the Chief Executive Officer of several technology companies over the past 15 years including ActiveGroup Ventures, Intellivoice Communications, and WebTone Technologies. In addition to his senior management duties, Jim has extensive experience both in mergers and acquisitions and in raising private equity.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina and has served on the Board of Directors for a number of private companies and several non-profit organizations.

Randy Choplin
President & Chief Operating Officer

A pioneer in the industry, Randy Choplin is widely recognized as a driving force in bringing the promise of wireless technology to the telecommunications sector. Currently, Choplin brings his passion to government agencies, inspiring them to embrace and execute on the vision of wireless to serve the consumers and businesses in their communities.

In his role as president and chief operating officer, he serves as WindChannel’s chief strategist as he simultaneously leads the company’s sales and marketing efforts. A frequent speaker at municipal conferences, Choplin also lectures regularly at the University of North Carolina School of Government, interacting with chief information officers from municipalities across the state and Southeastern region.

Prior to founding WindChannel, Choplin held executive management positions with Mediaspan, MCI WorldCom, Cabletron Systems and Cable & Wireless. Earlier, Choplin founded nSyndicate, the largest news media syndication service provider, and led the company from its early stages to its acquisition in 2001 by Mediaspan. As part of Vinton Cerf’s advanced technology team at MCI, he was also instrumental in the development of early Internet applications, including Netscape’s first consumer browser.

Marjorie Conway
Vice President/Operations

With solid experience on both the operational and sales sides of the telecommunications industry, Marjorie Conway brings exceptional capabilities in the areas of process and relationship management to her position as vice president/operations for WindChannel Communications. In this role, she applies global best practices in her oversight of the company’s training, systems implementation, project management and account management teams.

Conway spent 20 years with Siemens Information and Communications, moving through the ranks first in training, installation design and project management, and then on to equally successful roles in sales and sales management. During her tenure, she received many honors for her performance in customer support and satisfaction, and consistently achieved membership in Siemens President’s Club, Million Dollar Club, 100% Club and Circle of Excellence. Among the accounts she won and serviced include the Coca-Cola Company, Ciba Vision, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Rich’s Department Stores.

Conway has also held leadership positions in a number of civic and charitable organizations to benefit her community’s youth. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.

Sue Fitzpatrick
Controller

More than two decades ago, Sue Fitzpatrick began honing her skills in accounting and cash management, financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting and reporting – experience that today serves her well as controller for WindChannel Communications. At that time, the Toronto SkyDome, a $570 million undertaking, was in its infancy. Throughout the design, site selection, financing, construction and opening, Fitzpatrick was instrumental in staffing and training the accounting department, establishing controls, implementing systems and developing budgets and reporting standards.

Fitzpatrick subsequently spent eight years as financial analyst with Toronto’s Capital Canada Limited, an investment banking firm, and later managed finances for Spring River Productions America, a television production firm. Before joining WindChannel Communications in 2007, she also held dual accounting and sales roles for Bradley Hughes, an interior design firm – additional skills that benefit WindChannel in the area of contract negotiations.

Fitzpatrick holds a BA in economics and business from the University of Western Ontario and a project management certification from Toronto’s Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.
